This is my tribute to the famous antique Tamblyn oblique penholder, highly prized by penmen in the early 20th century. These are quite rare and some of the most beautiful penholders I’ve ever seen, some inlaid with ivory. Only a few survived to this day and are collectors items. The nib is gilded with patent gold to symbolize the power of the pointed pen.
Techniques: Etching, Aquatint, Gilding

Printed using oil-based ink on 300gsm handmade cotton paper with deckled edges
Each print is handmade, inked, and pressed individually, making every piece unique.
